Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash and card transactions
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times by following proper food handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking their orders efficiently, and upselling additional items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including kitchen areas and dining spaces, adhering to sanitation guidelines
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without sacrificing quality
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and food service environments, with a solid understanding of food handling safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change accurately, and calculating order totals
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a clean working environment in compliance with health regulations
- Restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
