Lower Mainland Road Building Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team supporting roadwork and civil infrastructure projects. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems associated with roadway lighting, traffic signals, underground utilities, and related municipal infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have experience working in active construction and traffic environments, a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a unionized workforce. This position requires reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in all weather conditions.

Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations and repairs
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and strong mechanical knowledge
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work accurately and safely
- Conduct inspections of existing electrical systems to identify issues or potential hazards
- Perform renovation work on existing electrical infrastructure during construction or upgrade projects
- Assist with the installation of control panels, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components
- Collaborate with construction teams and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
- Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes to maintain a safe work environment at all times
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil, roadway or infrastructure electrical work (preferred)
- Bucket Truck experience required
- Proven experience with traffic signal installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with roadway, municipal, or civil infrastructure projects (asset)
- Experience working with traffic, low voltage systems, and control wiring
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics related to electrical systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various project settings
- Ability to work Overtime
