B-rooted Somatic Therapy - Located in British Columbia - Virtual
You don’t have to leave yourself at the door to do this work.
At B-rooted Somatic Therapy, we believe therapy is most powerful when it is human, relational and embodied. Our approach honours the nervous system, the wisdom of the body and the connection between inner experience and the natural world. We’re building a practice where clinicians can show up fully; grounded, curious and supported in doing meaningful, sustainable work.
B-rooted Somatic Therapy is a growing, trauma-informed counselling practice rooted in the belief that healing happens through the body, in relationship and in connection with self, others and the natural world.
Our work is embodied, relational, holistic and nature-informed. We value presence over performance, depth over speed and connection over perfection.
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Somatic Counsellor who feels aligned with practicing in a way that is grounded, human and sustainable.
About the Work
At B-rooted Somatic Therapy is not about fixing or pushing toward outcomes. It is about creating the conditions for safety, regulation and reconnection so that change can emerge organically.
Our approach includes:
- Nervous system awareness and regulation
- Somatic and body-based healing
- Nature-based and holistic perspectives
- Space for meaning, spirituality, and the transcendent self
- A deeply relational, human-centered lens
We are building both an in-person and virtual community, where clinicians and clients alike feel supported, connected and not alone in the work.
What We’re Looking For
You are:
- A Master’s-level clinician (Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or related field)
- Registered and in good standing with a regulatory body
- Carrying your own professional liability insurance
- Trained in a somatic modality (e.g., Somatic Experiencing or similar)
- Available for a flexible schedule, including at least one evening per week
- Open to offering in-person sessions (Comox Valley) and/or virtual therapy
- Drawn to slowing down, attuning deeply and working relationally
- Comfortable integrating holistic, nature-based and meaning-oriented approaches
We will also consider fully remote clinicians who are aligned with our values and interested in contributing to a virtual therapeutic community.
What It’s Like to Work Here
- You are supported in working at a grounded, intentional pace that protects against burnout
- You are invited to bring your whole self your lived experience, curiosity, creativity and spirituality
- You practice in a space that values authenticity over fitting into a mold
- You are part of a collaborative, relational team, rather than working in isolation
- The focus is on depth, integrity and meaningful connection
