Position Summary:
The Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following in person course during the Winter 2026 semester.
BUS 317 – Digital Marketing Strategy
This course examines leading trends in digital media and the evolving impact on marketing strategy. Focus will be placed on increasing competitiveness through optimal use of digital media tools and platforms to increase both marketing strategy effectiveness and efficiency. All “4 P’s” of on-line products, pricing models, distribution methods, and use in promotional strategy will be examined. Customer relationships, engagement, and empowerment are also considered.
The Fall 2026 semester class period is from September 1, 2026 to December 7, 2026 with the final exam period running from December 9 to 22, 2026. Maximum enrolment for this course is 48 and a Teacher Assistant may be provided if requested and available.
Expectations for Sessional Lecturers include, but aren’t limited to, the following:
- Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades on time;
- Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines;
- Delivering 26 75-minute lectures throughout the semester (unless otherwise discussed with the Associate Dean);
- Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment;
- Providing regular support to students on course work as required before and after each class, during office hours, and as required by students;
- Meeting all submission deadlines as outlined by the Hill School of Business;
- Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student-related matters as needed; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate and/or PhD/doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to the course subject area (note that a bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant professional business experience may also be considered);
- Chartered Marketer (CM) designation is considered an asset;
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with respect to academic reporting; and
- Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment considered an asset.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As Per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
This course is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus for each of the 26 lectures, be in the classroom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week
