Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our team! In this pivotal role, you will support store operations, lead sales initiatives, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for our customers. Your leadership will help drive sales growth, maintain store standards, and foster a positive team environment.
Hours include may include weekends to start.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Support and supervise retail staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Oversee merchandising strategies to ensure attractive product displays and optimal inventory levels.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure excellent customer service.
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks accurately.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and assist with pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Support marketing efforts by implementing promotional campaigns and store signage.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with supervising experience in retail environments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven expertise in retail sales management, merchandising, and store operations.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic bookkeeping.
- Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Knowledge of budgeting, sales management, pricing strategies, and marketing principles.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Assistant Manger experience minimum of 1 year
- Bookkeeping experience preferred
- Serving It Right Certificate
Wage is starting at $21/h but can be negotiated based on experience.
