Position Summary
RBG Security Inc. is currently hiring for existing Part-Time Weekend Security Guard vacancies across the Greater Toronto Area. These are immediate openings at active client sites.
We currently have four weekend positions available:
- 2 Positions – Scarborough: Weekend Security Guards (Day/Evening Shifts)
- 1 Position – North York: Weekend Overnight Security Guard
- 1 Position – York Region: Weekend Overnight Security Guard
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to one of the available work locations. Please indicate your preferred work area when applying.
Compensation
- Starting Wage: $17.85 per hour during the first three (3) months of employment.
- Following the successful completion of the probationary period, the hourly wage will increase in accordance with the pay rate established for the assigned client site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor assigned premises through routine patrols and surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of the property.
- Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and log entries.
- Collaborate with emergency services and law enforcement when required.
- Assist with loss prevention initiatives and protect client assets.
- Operate CCTV and other security systems to monitor sensitive areas.
- Control access to the property by monitoring visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Maintain a visible security presence and respond appropriately to customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required).
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certification is considered an asset.
- Previous security or law enforcement experience is preferred.
- Experience operating CCTV and surveillance systems.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a high level of integrity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous loss prevention experience is an asset.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Scarborough, North York, or York Region depending on the assigned site.
