Overview
We are seeking an Order Picker to join our yard operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the distribution process, ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. The ability to operate heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Day shift is 5:30am-2pm Monday to Friday and overtime as required.
Duties
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Utilize warehouse management systems such as RF Scanner to track inventory and manage order fulfillment.
- Operate moving equipment including forklifts and clamp trucks to load and unload products.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during the handling of goods.
- Maintain organization within the yard by ensuring that products are stored in designated locations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain productivity levels.
- Build and prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products.
Qualifications
- Previous experience picking orders in yard operations is required.
- Proficiency operating RF Scanner is required.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as Hyster 90 is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
