The Batch Mixer / Compounder works within the Production Operations team and is responsible for preparing product batches according to formula specifications, operating mixing equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, GMP-compliant work area. This role requires accuracy, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare product batches according to formula cards using mixing and compounding equipment.
- Cut, weigh, and dump bags of powder and other raw materials accurately and safely.
- Operate production mixing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Complete required batch records, logs, and production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production work area at all times.
- Adhere to all GMP policies, food and product safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards, equipment issues, or product non-conformances immediately.
- Support and assist other team members during batch changeovers and production demands.
- Perform other labour duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment is an asset.
- Experience in household product, chemical, or food manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP standards and batch record documentation is considered an asset.
Key Competencies
- Physical capacity to work in a demanding environment, including repetitive bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions and SOPs with precision.
- Solid English reading and communication skills; basic math (addition, subtraction, division, fractions).
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and good judgment in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts (days, afternoons, and nights) and overtime as required.
- Collaborative team player with a willingness to support cross-functional production needs.
- Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace.
