Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising medication supplies
- Support medication administration processes under supervision
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing prescriptions
- Assist in patient care activities as directed by licensed healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is REQUIRED
- Knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with patients and team members
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and prescription systems
- A recognised qualification in pharmacy support or related field is advantageous but not essential
