Mechanical Engineering Technologist for an exciting opportunity supporting vibration and shock testing of flight and development hardware. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional who enjoys hands-on work in a highly specialized testing environment. Working alongside senior technologists, you will contribute to all aspects of vibration testing, from setup and instrumentation to data collection, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and test procedures.

Responsibilities
-
Perform vibration and shock testing on flight and qualification hardware
-
Follow detailed test procedures and work instructions with a high degree of accuracy
-
Assist with the design, fabrication, and procurement of test fixtures
-
Instrument test articles with accelerometers and other sensors
-
Conduct vibration surveys and operate vibration control systems
-
Monitor test execution and ensure data integrity throughout testing activities
-
Analyze test results and prepare clear, concise technical reports
-
Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities during testing
-
Maintain compliance with quality standards, procedures, and safety requirements
-
Collaborate with senior technologists and engineering teams to achieve project objectives
Qualifications
-
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
-
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology is required
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
-
Basic knowledge of electronics and instrumentation
-
Familiarity with mechanical assembly and testing concepts
-
Experience working with sensors such as accelerometers is considered an asset
-
Knowledge of data acquisition systems
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
-
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
-
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
-
Experience with vibration or environmental testing is considered an asset
-
Exposure to aerospace or other high-reliability industries is an asset
-
Knowledge of resonance, dynamic systems, and structural testing principles is an asset
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
