We’re looking for a driver to join the team at Exit Staged Right Furniture Rental and to assist with furniture moving (light in weight, no appliances).
Our team is a young group who enjoy spending time together, get along great and have a lot of fun on the job. Flexible hours for students.
Part time hours between the hours of 9am - 5pm. No weekends.
Responsibilites Include:
- Demonstrate customer service and professionalism when dealing with clients
- Pull furniture, artwork and accessories from our warehouse, wrap in protective material and then load and pack trailer with care to ensure no damage. Deliver to homes and place furnishings where requested by home stagers, realtors or homeowners.
- Return to destage home at later date. (Note: home staging furniture is usually lighter than typical household furniture. We do not move appliances nor do we move any furniture belonging to the homeowner)
- Inventory management, warehouse organization, furniture assembly, cleaning and minor repairs. Careful handling of our furnishings and organizational skills are a must.
- Hang artwork and mirrors.
Key Requirements:
- Punctual and professional with excellent customer service
- Great attitude, reliable, responsible and hardworking
- Physically capable of moving furniture on/off trailer, throughout our warehouse and into clients homes/condos.
- Valid drivers license
- BONUS: Experience driving/backing up an enclosed trailer and manoeuvring in and out of client driveways, loading bays and tight spaces
- No criminal records or convictions
- Legally able to work in Canada
Summary
As a Home Staging Furniture Mover/Driver, you will be essential in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently transporting and staging furniture for various properties. Reporting to the team leader, your core skills in lifting furniture and communication will ensure a smooth process during setups. Additionally, relevant experience in warehouse operations and commercial driving will contribute to the successful execution of staging projects, making you a vital part of our team in creating inviting spaces for potential buyers.
