What is the opportunity?
RBC Global Asset Management (“RBC GAM”) is a North American-based asset manager with global scope and industry-leading investment management capabilities.
As part of a high performing team, this role will provide support in the day-to-day operations, valuations and reporting of the PH&N family of funds, with a focus on our specialty fund offerings. For more information, please visit: https://www.rbcgam.com/en/ca
What will you do?
- Ensure completion of daily tasks including preparation and review of trades, processing mortgage transactions, reconciliation of banks accounts

Support RBC GAM’s specialty funds including the calculation of performance fees, maintaining trading calendars, and performing related fund accounting processes

Review and prepare monthly and quarterly reports to key stakeholders

Assist in preparation and reviewing semi-annual and year-end financial statements including audit support, research and resolution of discrepancies
-
Assist in operational initiatives and enhancements and maintain internal procedures/policies and ensure controls are followed

Other related duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have

High attention to detail accuracy

Practical knowledge of financial products, Mutual fund operations

Basic accounting skills

Ability to deal with the pressures of strict deadlines

Good judgment and problem solving skills

Intermediate to advanced PC literacy, specifically MS Excel and Eagle Investment
-
Good communication, organization, and time management skills
-
Flexibility to work overtime when required
Nice to Have
-
Successful completion of a related post-secondary degree or diploma
-
Experience in the Mutual Fund/Investment industry along with 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
-
Completion of an industry related course (IFIC Mutual Funds Course or CSC) would be considered an asset.

The expected salary range for the above position is $55,000 - $70,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
