As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Director, Hansard Publications and Language Services, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of professionals.
This is a backfill position.
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in a non-partisan support role
- Exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement in a politically sensitive environment
- Provide reception services, administrative support and oversight into the day-to-day branch operations
- Oversee the distribution of House and Committee Hansard transcripts and coordinate the subscription service for Hansard and Bills to depository libraries
- Monitor Branch office supplies, reviewing expenditures and processing all invoices for payment
- Assist the Director in preparing budget estimates for the branch
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times
- Completion of a two- to three-year college diploma
- Up to three years of experience as a strong administrator with a strong attention to detail and highly developed organization skills
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with internal and external clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven experience in office practices and procedures
- Maintain discretion and professional confidentiality
- Keen interest in Ontario’s parliamentary system and governmental processes
- Ability to respond and adapt to a rapidly changing work pace
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
