Seeking a passionate Part-Time Math Tutor to support students in their academic growth.
The successful candidate will help students build strong math skills, confidence, and positive learning habits in a supportive learning environment.
University students, recent graduates, and experienced tutors are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with homework and school curriculum
- Prepare and deliver lessons based on student needs
- Monitor student progress regularly
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate with staff regarding student progress
Qualifications
- Strong Mathematics skills
- Experience in tutoring or teaching math, especially with children.
- Friendly, patient, and responsible
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to commute to our Markham location
- Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum is an asset.
Language Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are required.
- Native or near-native English proficiency is strongly preferred.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Weekday afternoons
- Occasional weekends
- Flexible schedule based on class enrollment and availability
