Job Summary
WFM Coffee Bar is seeking a hardworking and dependable General Laborer to support the daily operations of our café. This role involves assisting with food preparation, receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, cleaning work areas, moving inventory, and supporting kitchen and front-of-house staff as needed. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate is physically capable, reliable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily café and kitchen operations.
- Receive, unload, and organize deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, and storage areas.
- Transport inventory and materials between work areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation and packaging tasks.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Remove garbage and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
- Support inventory counts and stock organization.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform additional general labor and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, warehouse, retail, or general labor is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
