The Opportunity
The Product Quoter will be a key component of the Quoting team and is responsible for preparing accurate price quotations for products based on customer requirements, company pricing guidelines, and supplier costs. This role supports the sales teams by ensuring timely, competitive, and precise quotes.
This role will be responsible for key steps within quote to order cycle both as part of large project teams (under the guidance of Project Managers and pre-engineering sales). This role will interface with the Sales, Application Engineering, and/or Product Management group to ensure quote accuracy and timely quote turnaround.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse quote requirements, specifications, and drawings to provide equipment quotations
- Calculate pricing based on materials, labour, overhead, and profit margins
- Work closely with sales to meet customer deadlines
- Apply the knowledge of AGI product lines to deliver detailed and accurate Quote Documents.
- Maintain file organization structure, participate in developing and maintaining project task boards (JIRA) and SharePoint sites.
- Maintain excellent records of quotes, RFQ information, pricing structures, and customer iterations
Qualifications:
- Engineering technologist or bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.
- 3+ years relevant experience in Product Configuration and/or estimating preferred. Preference for experience in Agriculture
- Strong communicator with relationship-building skills.
