Driver's Helper
Job Description:
- Helpers must assist loading and unloading trucks. This includes at the warehouse and on jobsites.
- Must be able to work on a daily basis. Show up to work on time, prepared for your shift and ready for the road.
- Travel to jobsites with a driver. Assist with navigation, spotting and paperwork if needed.
- Assist with delivering drywall and other building materials into jobsites.
- Must be willing to provide general labor and housekeeping in the yard between deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service. This may include contacting customers before delivery and following specific customer instructions pertaining to offloading.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures. This includes wearing PPE and reporting any concerns to your supervisor right away.
Requirements:
- Heavy lifting is required. Must be comfortable bending, lifting, walking up and down stairs while delivering material.
- Must have CSA approved footwear.
- Must be reliable. 6:30AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday.
- Willing to work extended hours when required. (Early morning jobs / night jobs)
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to work with others. This job requires teamwork and the ability to communicate with coworkers and customers.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.75-$24.75 per hour
