Automotive Technician / Performance Mechanic

Perfect Performance is a high performance automotive shop located in Cooks Creek, Manitoba, just 5 minutes from Birds Hill Park. We specialize in building, tuning, and maintaining Exotic, European, Japanese, and Muscle Cars. Our facility features an AWD dyno, in house custom fabrication, TIG welding, performance tuning, alignments, and general automotive repair.
We are looking for an Automotive Technician with some experience who is passionate about cars and enjoys working on everything from high performance street builds to custom fabrication projects. If you have experience in a mechanic shop and take pride in quality workmanship, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of vehicles, including performance, European, JDM, exotic, and muscle cars
- Perform maintenance and repair services including engine diagnostics, suspension work, brake repairs, driveline repairs, and electrical troubleshooting
- Assist with vehicle builds, upgrades, and performance modifications
- Perform wheel alignments and suspension setup
- Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues
- Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Assist with custom fabrication and TIG welding projects when required
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repairs and recommendations
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an automotive repair or performance shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with European, JDM, muscle, or high-performance vehicles is an asset
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset
- Familiarity with performance modifications and aftermarket parts preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Valid driver's license required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
