Elite Window Cleaning (a division of Squeaky Green Services Inc.) is bringing rope access window cleaning in-house to handle descent-only scope of work on institutional and commercial buildings. We're looking to hire one certified SPRAT Level 2 rope access technician with current Advanced First Aid to anchor our in-house crew. This is a turnkey hire — we need someone fully certified and ready to go on day one, so we can finalize our WorkSafeBC coverage and insurance and launch this work in-house without delay. We're not looking to train someone from zero on rope access or first aid fundamentals.
About the Role:
- 6-week contract — a good short-term gig, with potential for additional contract work down the road as our rope access program grows
- Perform descent-only rope access window cleaning and exterior building maintenance on institutional and commercial properties
- Work as part of a two-person minimum rope team on every job
- Follow Elite's written safety plan, rescue plan, and site-specific risk assessments for each building
- Maintain and inspect all personal rope access equipment (harness, descender, backup device, helmet) per manufacturer and SPRAT standards
- Complete daily end-of-day check-ins and job documentation (photos via CompanyCam, equipment inspection logs)
- Communicate professionally with site facilities staff and other personnel on commercial/institutional jobs
Required CertificationsRope Access
- SPRAT Level 2 minimum — current, not expired, with logged rope hours
- Comfortable acting as the senior/supervising member of a two-person rope team
WorkSafeBC / Occupational Health & Safety
- Advanced First Aid (formerly OFA Level 3) required — current certification, ready to act as our designated attendant on every job from day one
- Fall protection training (recognized WorkSafeBC-compliant course)
- Working at Heights / Rope Rescue awareness — must be able to participate in and execute Elite's written rope rescue plan
- WHMIS current certification
- Comfortable working under a documented site-specific safety plan and rescue plan for every building
Other
- Prior professional window cleaning experience required
- Valid BC driver's license, clean driving record
- Physically able to perform sustained work at height, including carrying equipment up to roof access points
- Comfortable working on institutional/public-facing sites with strict site protocols
Nice to Have
- Experience in rope access building maintenance or exterior restoration
- IRATA certification in addition to or in lieu of SPRAT (must be crosswalked to SPRAT equivalency)
- Experience with soft wash / pressure washing chemical application
- Confined space or additional height-work certifications
What We Offer
