Indigo Property Services is seeking a strong, hands-on Field Manager to lead our landscape construction and maintenance operations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field execution, supporting foremen and crews, maintaining accountability across job sites, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is not a desk-only management role. The ideal candidate is a working leader who thrives in the field, solves problems quickly, supports their team, and leads by example.
Key Responsibilities - Field Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and support foremen and field crews across multiple divisions
- Maintain a strong daily presence on job sites
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and respect
- Coach team members to improve performance, efficiency, and workmanship
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of field staff
- Address performance issues promptly and professionally
Operations & Project Oversight
- Oversee multiple active job sites to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
- Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets company standards
- Coordinate field execution for landscape construction, maintenance, and seasonal operations
- Identify and resolve site issues, delays, and operational challenges in real time
- Ensure crews have the tools, materials, equipment, and information needed to operate efficiently
- Support job planning, staging, and workflow coordination
Scheduling & Communication
- Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to manage scheduling, logistics, and manpower allocation
- Communicate clearly with office staff, suppliers, subcontractors, and field teams
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and staffing needs
- Ensure crews understand daily expectations, timelines, and priorities
Safety & Standards
- Enforce company safety policies and promote a safe work environment
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
- Ensure equipment is being operated properly and responsibly
- Maintain high standards for customer service and site presentation
Winter Operations
- Support planning and execution of snow and ice management operations
- Assist with crew coordination, equipment readiness, and storm response
- Help ensure efficient and organized winter field operations

- Proven experience in landscape construction, maintenance, or related field operations
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong understanding of productivity, efficiency, and job costing awareness
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Equipment operation experience considered an asset
- Snow operations experience considered an asset

Position Nature
This is a full-time, year-round working leadership role. The Field Manager is expected to be actively involved in field operations while providing leadership and oversight to crews and projects. Flexibility in hours is required during peak seasons and winter storm events.
