Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations within our curling club. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, bar and food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued, and POS systems such as Micros POS. The Food and Beverage Manager will play a key role in supervising team members, managing banquet and bar operations, and upholding the highest standards of food handling and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations to ensure smooth functioning of the bar and available food services
- Supervise and train staff members, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS and cash handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage bar stock efficiently
- Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, scheduling shifts, and fostering a positive work environment
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, bar and lounge areas in accordance with health codes
- Collaborate with the Curling Board to enhance overall guest experience
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership abilities with team management skills including interviewing and training new employees
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries effectively
- Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is necessary
- Ability to lead a team efficiently while maintaining high standards of service excellence
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of hall rental operations
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
