Your Career
We currently have an opening for a highly motivated, self-driven and entrepreneurial individual to join our sales team in the role of Business Development Manager, Utility T&D.
The ideal candidate will be results driven, strategic, customer-focused, and highly collaborative, with a proactive approach to their work. This role is instrumental in driving new business and being an expert in the Utility T&D Field. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is motivated by growth and market leadership and making an impact in the assigned channel and wishes to grow within a private family-owned company. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the modernization of North America’s utility infrastructure through resilient concrete pole solutions, grid hardening initiatives, telecommunications integration, and smart city development.

Your Impact
- Lead market expansion initiatives and help shape StressCrete Group’s long-term growth strategy within the Utility Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector.
- Develop direct relationships with utilities, engineering consultants, EPC firms, and contractors while assisting in the growth of concrete utility pole specifications within new and existing accounts.
- Be capable of developing customer-specific written technical specifications and utility standards as required.
- Provide technical support to customers, Manufacturing Sales Representatives, and Territory Managers related to StressCrete’s concrete utility pole product line.
- Work with Engineering to ensure customer requirements are being met and provide product modifications where required.
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights related to the utility pole market that help shape pricing, positioning, and product strategy.
- Provide strategic pricing analysis to Territory Managers when quoting concrete utility pole opportunities.
- Influence the hiring of new sales agents and make recommendations for regional manufacturer sales representatives.
- Provide support on specification development, utility approvals, and competitive bids.
- Work with Growth Team leadership to increase SCGRP market share within the utility T&D market.
- Work with Marketing and Territory Managers on developing targeted campaigns and detailed proposals focused on concrete utility pole solutions.
- Represent StressCrete Group at national and regional utility, transmission, and distribution conferences.
- Have a good understanding of structural requirements, loading criteria, and design considerations for utility pole structures.
- Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit or company.
- Develop and deliver presentations focused on StressCrete’s concrete utility pole solutions to existing and prospective customers, consultants, utilities, and local representation.
Your Experience/Requirements of the Role
- Post secondary education in a business, technical or sales related field
- 3-5 years of sales experience is an asset
- Proven ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle with the ability to uncover, qualifying, developing, and closing new accounts
- Salesforce experience is an asset
- The ability to develop and nurture lasting relationships
- Natural curiosity and a desire to learn, grow and develop your skillset by mastering technical specifications of our products
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills, and work with high levels of autonomy and self-direction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a high standard for exceptional work and customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Travel throughout North America up to 50% of the time.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
