POSITION TITLE: Clinical Lead/Team Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Community Services

Purpose of Position:
The Clinical Lead/Team Supervisor provides clinical oversight, operational leadership, and cultural safety guidance for the TteS Crisis Response Team. This role ensures the delivery of low barrier, trauma informed, culturally grounded crisis intervention that reflect Secwepemc values, laws and community priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides Clinical Leadership, Supervision and Crisis Response Oversight. (50%)
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, coaching, and support to Crisis Response Team members.
- Oversee intake, triage, risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning processes to ensure effective and timely service delivery.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation regarding complex client situations, crisis responses, and high-risk cases.
- Review assessments, intervention plans, safety plans, and follow-up care plans to ensure quality and consistency of services.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary case consultations and support collaborative decision-making among team members.
- Ensure critical incident debriefings are completed following crisis responses and provide support to staff involved in critical incidents.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with professional standards, organizational policies, and applicable legislation.
- Demonstrate and model effective crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques in high-risk situations.
- Support staff wellness, resilience, and professional development through regular supervision, coaching, and feedback.
- Participate in crisis response activities and provide operational leadership during emergencies and after-hours situations as required.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide consultation and support to team members during crisis situations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records related to clinical supervision and program activities.
- Builds Partnerships and Represents the Program. (20%)
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with community leadership, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, health service providers, RCMP, emergency services, and regional partners.
- Act as a liaison between the Crisis Response Team and internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote awareness of Crisis Response Team services within Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc and surrounding communities.
- Deliver presentations, educational sessions, and program information to TteS departments, community groups, partner organizations, and First Nations communities.
- Participate in interagency meetings, committees, case conferences, and community planning initiatives.
- Foster collaborative partnerships that improve access to crisis response, mental health, substance use, cultural, and wellness services.
- Support community engagement activities that strengthen trust, awareness, and utilization of Crisis Response Team services.
- Represent the program in a professional manner and promote positive relationships with community members and service providers.
- Supports Program Evaluation and Accountability. (20%)
- Collect, monitor, and analyze program data to support reporting, evaluation, and service planning activities.
- Monitor program outcomes, service utilization trends, and emerging community needs.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and implement recommendations to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure documentation, data collection, and reporting requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for the Community Services Manager, leadership, funding partners, and community as required.
- Identify service gaps, opportunities for improvement, and emerging trends impacting community wellness.
- Participate in strategic planning, program development, and policy review activities.
- Support accountability measures required by organizational policies, funding agreements, and professional standards.
- Promotes Cultural Safety and Secwépemc Protocols. (10%)
- Ensure all services are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and aligned with Secwépemc values, teachings, traditions, and community protocols.
- Support the integration of cultural knowledge, ceremony, Elders, and traditional healing approaches within service delivery.
- Promote respectful, culturally responsive, and community-centered practices among team members.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding cultural safety, cultural humility, and Indigenous wellness approaches.
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural advisors.
- Participate in ongoing cultural learning, community events, and protocol activities to strengthen knowledge and understanding of Secwépemc culture.
- Support a team environment grounded in respect, accountability, collaboration, and community wellness.
Financial Responsibility:
No direct budget responsibility. Responsible for appropriate stewardship of program resources and equipment.
Supervision or Training Duties:
This position is responsible for the direct supervision, leadership, and ongoing development of the Crisis Response Team
Special Requirements:
Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector required.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as required.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in office settings, community locations, client homes, hospitals and other partner facilities. Exposure to emotionally demanding, unpredictable and potentially high-risk situations.
Professional Certification, Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or related health discipline
- Registration in good standing
- Minimum 5 years crisis and mental health experience.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities required
- Demonstrated knowledge of intergenerational trauma, substance use, and culturally grounded healing approaches
- Preferred training in:
- Crisis Response and Intervention
- PTSD assessment and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
- Suicide intervention (ASIST), trauma informed care and de-escalation
- Psychological First Aid (Community Mental Health)

HOURS OF WORK: Normal Day shifts – 7 hours. Non-normal shifts may be required.
PAY GRADE: Starting at $107,099.97/annually depending on education and experience
