Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist customers with product selections, and ensure a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing transactions, and supporting daily store operations. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is a plus, along with strong communication and organizational skills. The Sales Associate will play a key role in promoting our products through upselling and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed according to food safety regulations
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic kitchen duties
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking shelves or display areas
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant environment, or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or food handling roles is beneficial
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices required
- Strong math skills for cash handling and basic calculations necessary for upselling and transactions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Prior kitchen or food preparation experience is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: $18.00-$28.24 per hour
