Job Posting: Centre Manager
Location: North York, ON (Bayview Ave & Cummer Ave)
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: Class runs Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM (to cover centre hours of 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM plus brief setup/wrap-up). The Centre Manager will be managing class for some of these days.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly capable Centre Manager to support our daily operations and foster a nurturing learning environment.
The Role
This is a key leadership support role. You will work closely with the Instructor to ensure the centre runs smoothly, students are engaged, and parent communications are seamless. This role is perfect for a strong communicator with an excellent grasp of high-school-level math who loves working with children.
Key Responsibilities
1.Manage Class Operations:
Independently oversee and run class operations during designated business days, ensuring a quiet, independent, focused, and orderly study environment.
2.Student Work Preparation:
Prepare and organize daily and homework worksheets for each student based on individual study plans set by the Instructor.
3.Lead the Early Learners Section:
Work directly with our youngest students (Early Learners) who require close, one-on-one guidance to build foundational skills before they transition to independent study.
4.Parent Liaison & Communication:
Act as a friendly, professional bridge between parents and the Instructor. Gather feedback, address administrative questions, and communicate student and parent needs directly to the Instructor.
5.Data Entry & Progress Tracking:
Accurately input student homework and classwork results into the Kumon database system to keep progress records up to date.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Math Proficiency: Must have strong math skills and be able to pass a minimum of the Kumon Level J Math Test (covering advanced algebra, factoring, and quadratic equations). University degree is required.
- Availability: Must be consistently available Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (with slight flexibility for pre- and post-class tasks).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable speaking with parents, managing student behaviour, and updating the Instructor.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in grading, organizing study materials, and updating data records.
- Experience with Children: Prior experience tutoring, teaching, or working with younger children (especially early childhood/primary ages) is highly preferred.
- Successful applicants must be able to produce a Vulnerable Sector Check.
