We are looking for a part-time dishwasher/kitchen prep candidate to work at our Newmarket location.
Responsibilities:
- Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans manually or by using dishwashers.
- Ensure all kitchen utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables or washing fruits.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces and emptying garbage.
- Follow proper health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth workflow and meeting food service deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
