Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable individual to join our salon team as a Person and Hairstylist on a commission basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hair styling skills while providing exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hair styling, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy engaging with clients to create personalized looks. Experience in retail sales and front desk operations is a plus, as it will help enhance the overall client experience and salon operations.
Duties
- Perform professional hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Provide excellent customer service by consulting with clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable services
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell additional salon services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling client inquiries
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with clients professionally and courteously
- Keep the work area organized and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized after each use
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and styling
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
