Telecommunication Construction Labourer
Overview:
Innexus Technical Services is looking for Telecommunication Construction Labourers to join our team. Job location will be in Fort McMurray, specifically the Timberlea community. Candidates must have reliable transportation to the job location. Successful candidates must be able to complete manual labour in various weather conditions. The position is full time and seasonal until weather permits.
Job Responsibilities:
Load and unload construction materials and tools.
Shovelling holes, back fill holes, use of tamper, seeding.
Trench conduit using hand spade or plow as necessary.
Install underground vaults and other structures as required.
Build PVC conduit risers on buildings and install transition boxes.
Pull fibre optic cabling through conduit.
Assist the directional drill team as needed.
Ensure safety documentation and daily equipment inspections are completed.
Perform general maintenance requirements on equipment.
Work to ensure company policies and procedures are being followed.
Assist other members of team with site cleanup.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with landscaping and excavation is an asset.
Experience with installing underground vaults and conduit is an asset.
Familiarity with fibre optics is an asset but not required.
Able to manage a physically requirements of the job and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
Current CSTS, Ground Disturbance, First Aid an asset.
Own basic hand tools and PPE.
Knowledge of health, safety, environmental practices related to the construction industry.
Ability to understand construction drawings is an asset.
Good work ethic with exceptional attention to detail.
Mechanically and mathematically inclined.
Ability to problem solve issues in the field that may arise.
Highly motivated and able to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have/maintain a class 5 license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
