Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide evidence based and individualized psychotherapy treatment and therapy to diverse client populations, including children and youth. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives through evidence-based interventions and collaborative care. The Registered Psychotherapist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote mental well-being, develop treatment plans, and support clients presenting symptoms.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic modalities suitable for various age groups and conditions.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions, focusing on emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and mental health stabilization.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress, treatment outcomes, and client progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in psychotherapy techniques.
- Support case management activities by assisting with resource linkage, advocacy, and follow-up care coordination for clients with complex needs.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children and youth populations in clinical or educational settings.
- Strong research skills to incorporate evidence-based practices into therapy sessions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health .
- Experience with case management, data collection, and documentation within healthcare or educational systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers, educators, and families.
- Compassionate approach with excellent listening skills
- Utilizes an anti-racist, anti-oppressive and neauroaffirming approach.
- Education, experience and training working with children and youth
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 6-12 months
Pay: $100.00-$150.00 per hour
