Job Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-driven AZ Dump Truck Driver to join our asphalt and paving operations team.
This is a local, short-haul position — no long-distance routes or overnight travel. You’ll transport asphalt, aggregates, granular materials, and clean fill between job sites across Ottawa while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and reliability.
Working closely with our paving crews, you’ll help ensure smooth, on-time deliveries that keep our projects running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tri-axle dump trucks to haul asphalt, aggregates, salt, snow, and other paving materials.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently at plants, yards, and job sites.
- Support asphalt paving operations by ensuring timely and proper material delivery.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs.
- Keep trucks clean, organized, and compliant with all MTO and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and paving crews.
- Assist with basic equipment movement or other site duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ license (required).
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck driving experience in asphalt or construction.
- Experience hauling asphalt or aggregates (strong asset).
- Solid knowledge of Ottawa-area roads and job site operations.
- Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and safety checks.
- Reliable, punctual, and focused on safety at all times.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
