About the Role
We're looking for a Fractional Head of Operations (Contract) to build and scale the operational backbone of Teangle.
This isn't a “sit back and analyze” role — it's a builder role.
You'll step into a fast-growing, somewhat chaotic environment and bring structure, clarity, and accountability across the entire operations function. Your mission is to design systems, implement them, and build the foundation that allows Teangle to scale from mid 7-figures to 8+ figures.
This role is hands-on and outcome-driven.
You'll work directly with the founder to:
Remove operational bottlenecks
Build scalable systems
Create visibility across inventory, cash, and performance
Train and manage an admin / ops assistant to handle execution
Scope: 15–25 hours per week to start (70-120$ an hour), with a clear path to a full-time role within 6 months.
What You'll Own
Operational Project Leadership (Top Priority)
Act as Teangle's operational quarterback — taking full ownership of systems, reporting, and performance.
Lead relationships with the 3PL (Darwynn) and accounting firm (JLMD) to ensure clean monthly closes and real COGS visibility
Implement structure around inventory reporting, reconciliation, and monthly financials — and drive the process proactively
Forecast and execute projects tied to launches, seasonality, bundling, and supply planning, especially for Q4
Supply Chain & Fulfillment
Own demand planning, raw material ordering, and inventory strategy across all SKUs and channels
Manage co-manufacturers and proactively de-risk delays, shortages, or pricing issues
Ensure fulfillment runs smoothly across DTC, Amazon, and retail with measurable performance standards
Reduce landed cost per unit by optimizing freight, co-packing, and inbound logistics
Financial & Strategic Operations
Build real margin visibility, track costs, and work closely with finance partners to support fast, accurate decision-making
Align supply and cash planning with marketing campaigns, product launches, and sales goals
Use data and dashboards to drive accountability and proactive decisions
Retail & Channel Operations
Build retail-ready systems to support partners like Sobeys, Shop Santé, and IGA
Ensure retail expansion does not slow down DTC operations
Set up packaging, pricing, and replenishment systems that support both growth and margins
Process Design & Scalability
Build SOPs, workflows, and checklists across operations to support scaling
Optimize tools like MRPeasy, Asana, and Shopify.
Identify and fix bottlenecks across sourcing, co-packing, fulfillment, and distribution
About You
5–10+ years in operations, supply chain, logistics, or procurement — ideally in DTC, eCommerce, or CPG
Experience scaling a brand (roughly $2M–$10M+) and navigating growing pains
Action-oriented and solution-driven — you see problems and move quickly to solve them
Fluent in English; French is a strong asset for working with partners across Quebec and Canada
Financially literate — you understand cost structures, unit economics, and operational impact on margins
Calm under pressure, clear communicator, and able to manage multiple moving parts effectively
Hands-on, fast-moving, and highly accountable
