We are looking to employ an efficient and detail-oriented accounts assistant to assist our accounting department with all clerical and basic accounting tasks. The Accounts Assistant's responsibilities include updating our invoicing, responding to clients' inquiries in a timely manner, and filing pertinent documentation. You should also responsible for performing various administrative duties within an office setting.
To be successful as an accounts assistant, you should be well-organized and knowledgeable of accounting principles and practices. Ultimately, an outstanding Accounts Assistant should be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients as well as demonstrate exceptional time management skills.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily invoicing, create invoices, distribute invoices by email, mail, uploading to customer’s website, etc.
- Assist in collection and follow-ups through email and phonecalls.
- Record payments from customers and
- Scanning and depositing payment cheques.
- Greet visitors and customers.
- Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Answer the phone and screen calls. and guide callers to the right person or department.
- Take down and forward messages.
- Received and distribute mail.
- Prepare and setup all couriers.
- Prepare daily invoicing, create invoices, distribute invoices by email, fax, mail, uploading to customer’s website, etc.
- Distribute packing slips to customers by email.
- Follow up on missing packing slips.
- Assist the accounting department.
- Other duties that may be requested from time to time
Accounts Assistant Requirements:
- Associate's degree in accounting, office admin, economics, or related field is preferred.
- must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit), and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
- Working knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and softwares.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
