The Faculty of Arts is seeking an undergraduate Student Research Assistant to contribute to research on the impact of culture and gender on attitudes and accuracy of singing in young and older adults. In addition, the position entails support of knowledge mobilization through assistance on community engagement and dissemination of research findings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete literature reviews
-
Assist with the applications for ethics review
- Assist with multilingual translation of surveys
- Implement JARS (Journal Article Reporting Standards)

Analyze and visualize research data with RStudio
-
Conference program development and dissemination
-
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must be a current UPEI student
-
Recent UPEI coursework in Psychology and/or related disciplines

Familiarity with Journal Article Reporting Standards

Strong familiarity with APA Publication Manual

Good communication (oral and written) skills

Ability to critically review library and Internet sources

Expertise in behavioral research on gender, culture, and singing

Expertise in development of conference program materials

Ability to work independently and support co-workers

Familiarity with laboratory environments

Skills in both quantitative and qualitative research
