Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up, transporting and delivering parcels in a timely and safely manner. This role requires excellent driving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Sort and load parcels into the vehicle based on the delivery route.
- Unload and deliver parcels at designated addresses.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using company software and adjust routes in response to traffic, weather, or road conditions.
- Communicate with customers to resolve minor delivery issues, such as incorrect addresses or missing packages.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of items as required during deliveries
- Follow traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good condition and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- Valid class 5 CANADIAN driver's license
- clean driving records
- Previous experience for at least one year in parcel delivery business.
- Strong customer service skills and communication.
- Ability to lift up to 70 Lb.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
