Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both industrial and construction painting, with a strong understanding of drywall restoration and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and the ability to rig and build as necessary. The Painter will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Restore drywall surfaces to ensure a smooth finish before painting.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and surface preparation.
- Rig and build scaffolding or other structures as required for safe access to high areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting and construction painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with drywall restoration techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools related to painting tasks.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
