Summary
S&J Construction Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Rubber Tire Excavator Operator to join our growing team. This role is vital in helping us deliver high-quality infrastructure projects while maintaining our core values of transparency and client involvement. The successful candidate will operate heavy machinery efficiently and safely at various commercial and residential construction sites; and for various public works departments. Responsibilities
S&J Construction Ltd. is looking for a Rubber Tire Excavator Operator who will:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies during operations.
- Assist in site preparation and cleanup activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Support other construction activities as required to ensure project success.
- Qualifications
S&J Construction Ltd. requires candidates with:
- Proven experience operating excavators, especially rubber tire models.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment.
- Valid class 5 drivers license.
- Must have own transportation to our office/shop as we are not located on a bus route.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Prior experience with CAT equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
- Able to work extended hours and weekends
