Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team, responsible for operating and maintaining various lawn cutting and landscaping machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with zero-turn lawn mowers, string line trimmers, gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance outdoor environments while utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand and power tools. The position requires a safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as zero-turn lawn mowers and other powered and non-powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform gardening and horticultural tasks, including planting, pruning, and landscape upkeep.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities to maintain aesthetic appeal and health of outdoor spaces.
- Use hand tools and power tools for various construction, landscaping, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and basic mechanical repairs to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist in planning and site preparation as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating machinery preferred.
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and repair is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction or landscaping techniques.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach to work tasks.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to equipment operation or construction are advantageous but not mandatory. This role is essential for maintaining high standards in outdoor project execution and landscape quality while providing opportunities for professional growth within the industry.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
