At Greenview Taphouse, we’re casual but take quality seriously. The Role:
We are looking for a kitchen manager with strong work ethic, leadership skills and a great attitude to join our family orientated kitchen team! Our successful team member has a passion for good food with opportunities to advance. You will lead the kitchen to create delicious home-style meals for our oceanside community.
What You’ll do:
- Possess the aptitude of strong oversight – able to quantify prep tasks and prepare the kitchen for service with detail and excellence
- Awareness of food/labour costs - able to maintain food cost targets through portion and waste control, inventory management, and labour
- Cooking and preparing dishes of the highest quality for our guests to enjoy
- Maintaining a clean, neat and presentable work station and appearance
- Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of all food preparation and cooking equipment and procedures at all times for all stations
- Work quickly and efficiently to deliver consistent and delicious dishes
- Support all team members in every role both front of house and back of house
- Communicate effectively between shifts and with culinary leaders and peers
- Other duties as assigned
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a warm and welcoming personality, is friendly and outgoing, demonstrating a positive attitude and energy at all times
- 3+ year of high-volume kitchen experience an asset
- 2+ year of leadership or managing capacity in a similar workplace setting
- Strong organization skills, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Set an example for a respectful, collaborative team while demonstrating appropriate working behaviors
- 1+ year of banquet & catering experience is an asset
- Previous experience working at a Golf Course based restaurant is also a bonus!

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
