Hawkesbury plant is looking for an Industrial Janitor (Manufacturing Plant)
REPORTING TO: Production manager
LOCATION: Hawkesbury
POSITION SUMMARY:
Montebello Packaging is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Industrial Janitor to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of production equipment and industrial areas within the plant. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and high-quality work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and maintain production equipment
- Clean industrial fixtures such as test stations, shipping racks, carts, tables, and supports
- Clean and maintain the industrial building, including walls, floors, and structural surfaces in production areas
- Clean ceiling fans and floor fans (work at heights required)
- Safely use industrial cleaning chemicals in accordance with procedures
- Maintain 5S, GMP, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas
- Identify and perform unplanned or additional cleaning as required
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize impact on operations
- Act as backup for office janitor/custodian duties when required
- Provide general production support as needed
- Performs other janitorial/cleaning duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of 5S and GMP standards
- Good physical capacity (lifting, manual and repetitive work)
- Ability to work at heights
- Comfortable working in areas requiring heavy cleaning and with appropriate cleaning chemicals
- Exceptional attention to detail – highly meticulous, takes pride in cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Compliance with all health and safety policies
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality required
This position requires regular and punctual attendance according to the established schedule.
