Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable flat deck Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across Central Alberta, Aswell as building orders and loading trucks. ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklift operation and possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks for the transportation of freight over short and long distances
- building orders and Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience with freight transportation and commercial driving regulations
- Proficiency in forklift operation
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety standards
