Williamson Equipment is looking for a motivated team leader with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to manage a dynamic Service Department in an Edmonton heavy equipment dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a collaborative service department focused on achieving long-term, consistent growth.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department while making decisions in the best interest of the department and company.
- Maintain and ensure the rental fleet is ready for the rental season (April–October).
- Attend safety meetings and ensure the service team follows company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of industry laws and regulations to ensure the service department remains compliant, including CVIP regulations and procedures.
- Audit work quality and customer service to ensure company standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
- Perform administrative duties including communicating with vendors, addressing customer concerns, finalizing work orders, answering phone calls, scheduling service appointments, and providing technical assistance.
- Coordinate workflow through both shop and field service operations.
- Manage work orders, warranty claims, OEM product improvement programs, and technician time cards.
- Support and mentor service staff while maintaining a strong customer-focused environment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in Service Department operations, preferably within the heavy equipment dealership industry.
- Strong product knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong personal sales ability with a solid command of the English language.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
