About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, capable Assistant Lodge Manager to help run daily operations at our lodge. This is a varied, people-focused role that blends hospitality, leadership, and practical problem-solving. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants more than a typical 9-to-5. You'll play a key part in guest satisfaction, staff support, and the overall upkeep of the property.
What You'll Do
- Tend the bar and deliver friendly, efficient service to guests
- Supervise front of house staff, keeping service standards high and the team on track
- Handle incoming calls for room bookings and takeout orders, including after-hours coverage as needed
- Create bar specials to keep the menu fresh and guests coming back
- Place liquor and beverage orders, managing inventory to avoid shortages
- Oversee building maintenance, making sure all equipment and facilities are running properly
- Handle basic IT tasks, such as troubleshooting equipment, POS and keeping systems working
- Step in wherever needed to support smooth daily operations
What We're Looking For
- Experience in hospitality, bar service, or lodge/hotel operations
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a small team
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfort juggling multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities
- Reliability and a willingness to help out wherever needed
- Basic tech know-how for simple IT troubleshooting
- Must have drivers licence and own vehicle

- Being handy with general repairs and maintenance is a big plus
