Job Summary
Pre Pak Meats is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Shipper & Receiver to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for the accurate receiving of incoming raw materials and packaging supplies, the picking and assembly of customer orders, and the timely shipping of finished products. It is essential for team members to gain product knowledge and an understanding of our customer demands to thrive in this role. Attention to detail and a strong physical stamina is critical for the success in this role.
Duties
- Inspect and verify all incoming receiving against purchase orders, bill of ladings and invoices
- Verify and log all receiving upon receipt
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks and power jacks
- Pick orders and package them accordingly
- Route received goods to correct cooler, freezer or dry storage
- Perform cycle counts and assist with scheduled inventory audits
- Ensure proper heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols
- Use warehouse management software for inventory control and distribution
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep tasks related to warehouse operations
- Assist with swamping when required
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary warehouse
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or food production environment
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods
- Knowledge of beef and retail cuts is beneficial
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including forklift, reach truck, and power jacks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and packaging processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks involving lifting or moving heavy objects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
