Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with freight handling, and grocery stock handling. A background in automotive repair is a plus, as it can contribute to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations
- Load and unload truck.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards
- Verifying shipment amounts
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs as needed, leveraging automotive repair knowledge
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- In store stock merchandising and client management
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery services
- Automotive repair skills are advantageous for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Valid driver’s class 5 license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate vehicles safely over long distances and in various conditions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing deliveries efficiently
- Good customer service ability
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
