Aveiro Bakery is a small, family oriented and BUSY bakery located in North Oakville (2530 Sixth Line). We produce and sell a wide variety of pastries/desserts, breads and other baked goods, deli meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and coffees.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and hard working individual who is willing to commit to our team as a Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher. The Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher will work closely with the Head Baker, mainly focused on maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. This is an entry-level position focused primarily on dishwashing, cleaning, and basic kitchen support tasks.
This is a permanent, part-time position. The candidate must be able to work 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 8am. The average shift length ranges between 5 and 8 hours.
This role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. A strong Kitchen Helper helps the team stay efficient, organized, and focused on production by ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are consistently clean and ready for use.
Core Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Cleaning
- Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
- Keep dishwashing areas clean, organized, and running efficiently
- Perform regular cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and workstations
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks as scheduled
- Take out garbage and recycling as needed
Kitchen Support
- Assist bakers and kitchen staff with basic tasks when needed (e.g., bringing ingredients, organizing tools)
- Help keep workstations stocked with clean trays and equipment
- Support general kitchen organization and flow
Organization & Maintenance
- Keep storage areas clean and organized
- Assist with putting away deliveries and supplies
- Follow proper storage practices and basic food safety guidelines

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Kitchen/bakery experience required
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced and physically demanding environment
Pay: $18.00 per hour
