Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, underwrite, and price new and renewal commercial insurance business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Make sound underwriting decisions on complex accounts, providing recommendations that support profitability and risk selection.
- Review commercial automobile and trucking risks, including fleet, long-haul, and cross-border exposures where applicable.
- Support less experienced underwriters and provide direction to underwriting assistants on coding, policy issuance, filings, endorsements, and related activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and prospects while providing product and service support.
- Participate in special projects and assignments requiring advanced underwriting knowledge, analytical skill, and collaboration across functional teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,000 to $80,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire, permanent position.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
