What this role actually looks like:
You're an experienced HVAC professional who can walk into a residential service call, assess the situation, diagnose the problem, and determine the right solution.
You're comfortable working independently on heat pumps, ducted and ductless systems, and residential HVAC equipment. You know how systems are supposed to operate, you understand how they were installed, and you can use that experience to quickly identify what's actually going wrong.
You take ownership of your calls from start to finish. You communicate clearly with homeowners, explain your findings and recommendations, and leave every customer confident that their HVAC system is in good hands.
What you're walking into:
- Residential HVAC service calls — heat pumps, ducted and ductless systems
- Independent diagnosis and troubleshooting of residential HVAC systems
- Completing service, repairs, and system adjustments on site
- Identifying root causes rather than simply treating symptoms
- Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and completed work to homeowners
- Identifying opportunities for HVAC equipment upgrades and generating new leads
- Actively participating in SPIFF programs to maximize earning potential
- Managing your own service vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Completing service paperwork and documentation accurately and on time
What we need from you:
- 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC experience required, with a strong background in installations and service
- Proven ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems
- Strong experience with heat pumps, ducted and ductless systems
- 313D Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic license is considered a strong asset
- Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) License
- Valid G2 Gas License
- Clean driving license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in the field
- Someone who takes ownership of their work and doesn't need constant supervision
