About the Role:
As a CNC Machinist based in Canada, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure that all machined products meet exact specifications and quality standards, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of production operations. You will collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to interpret technical drawings and optimize machining processes. Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or technical training program in CNC machining or a related field.

Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Basic knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification from a recognized industry body such as the Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) or equivalent.

Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and design.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment.

Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to machining.

Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture parts according to engineering specifications.

Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to optimize production efficiency and accuracy.
