We are hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our growing team! In this role you will cruise around Esquimalt, Victoria, and Saanich in a company vehicle giving community support with exceptional service. Our clients are diverse and require medications daily, including insulin, OAT (Methadone/Kadian), injections, and patch applications.
This is a part-time role for Saturday and Sunday shifts during the hours of 0730-1600, with future opportunities to pickup shifts when needed or increase weekly hours.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments
- Provide medications and support in a compassionate manner
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Complete all required policies, procedures, and documentation
Requirements:
- Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Canada
- Experience in addictions care preferred
- Experience in diabetes care is an asset
- Strong skills in medication administration and patient assessment
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Canadian Driver's License
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff
- Current resident of the greater Victoria areas
