Ground Crew / Arborist Assistant
ASAP Tree & Stump Ltd. is currently hiring a motivated and reliable Ground Crew / Arborist Assistant to join our team. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is capable of handling physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist arborists with daily tree care and tree removal operations
- Drag and move brush to the wood chipper
- Safely feed brush and debris into the chipper
- Load logs, wood, and debris into trucks and trailers
- Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Operate hand tools and other equipment as required
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (mandatory)
- Comfortable driving a truck and trailer on a daily basis
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials throughout the day
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous landscaping, tree service, construction, or outdoor labour experience is considered an asset but is not required
